First Kids Sundays

We really do love all children here at FPC!! We would love for them to be with us during the GROW hour on Sundays from 9:30-10:30! We would be honored to be a part of building their foundations of faith. See you Sunday!

Deep down we all have a desire to be part of something bigger. To connect is to join or link or associate in one’s mind. People connect in a cohesive manner creating unity through a logical relationship between others in association with family, friends or ideas.

God created us to be in relationships. He created not one but two people at the time of creation. Ultimately, God desires that we be connected to him through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

When children are connected consistently through the church they begin to develop a sense of belonging, recognition, love and a foundational base for a bigger picture that includes a relationship with Jesus.

First Kids ministry cares about kids. The 9:30-10:30 ministry hour provides a place for kids to be connected with adults who love telling the Good News of Jesus.

With classes for children from Nursery through Grade 5, our volunteers share:

– Songs…

– Biblical Stories…

– Concepts…

…in creative & fun ways relevant to learning abilities of each age and stage.

While surrounded by a group of loving adults and friends, your kids will be developing an essential spiritual base for building worldview truths in future years. Isaiah 54:13 states, “All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.”

Jesus’ youngest disciples are cared for and taught by a loving team of nursery staff and volunteers. Partnering with parents to help young children take their first steps towards faith in Christ is a great joy! On Sunday mornings our First Kids ministry team provides childcare for the 9:30 a.m. study time and during all worship services.

Young babies who are not yet walking are cared for in Room 102; toddlers are cared for in Room 103; and children who turn two years old by September 1 will be in our preschool pod, in Room 97.

Our volunteers want to partner with the Lord and our parents in the spiritual faith development of our children through weekly Sunday morning classes, in addition to attendance in community worship. The whole family can connect for spiritual development in the church new year starting August 13.

We all need other voices we can trust to:

– Point us to Christ

– Walk with us

– Provide encouragement and challenge us…

…to grow strong in faith. We serve a God who loves us so much he would withhold nothing to draw us near to him. He is faithful and good with incredible plans for our lives.

Invest wisely in the spiritual future of your family and commit this year to unite in shared study and weekly worship.
