Music Ministry

Music is a vibrant part of our worship here at First Presbyterian Church.
Please join us–there is an opportunity for everyone to be a part of this ministry!
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir helps lead worship at the 10:45 a.m. service. Repertoire is drawn from the inspired music of the past as well as the present. We pray that through music all may be touched by the Holy Spirit. All singers are welcome. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. We have beginning singers as well as members with degrees in music. If you are curious about the rehearsals, the members (very friendly), or the director (very nice and kind to all!), please come to a rehearsal.
Sanctuary Ringers
The Sanctuary Ringers are our wonderful Hand Bell Choir. They enhance our worship with the joyous sound of Hand Bells and Chimes. The Ringers play on a regular basis at our worship services. They may also be heard as they join the choirs at the Candlelight Christmas Concert, the Lessons and Carols service, and Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday and Easter services. Under the direction of Paula Snelling, the Ringers rehearse on Sunday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. New members are warmly welcomed. If you would like more information please email Paula Snelling.
First Kids Choir
The First Kids Choir meets in the Chapel from 6:15 – 6:55 p.m. on Wednesdays, during the fall and spring, and is open to children in grades 1 through 5. Choir members also participate in the Christmas Concert, Sunday morning services, the Children’s Christmas Eve service and many other special days of the church season. We have lots of fun! Email Julie Quinn at julie@quinn.net or the church office  to sign up your child to participate on a by-the-event basis.
