First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville began in 1960. We have remained in the same location with the same commitment to love our neighbors and bring the hope of Jesus. Presbyterian is a name unfamiliar to many people. It might make you think of old institutions with uptight and irrelevant people.

What we think you will find at FPC Douglasville is a place where people love God, love their neighbors in Douglasville and beyond, and love helping people grow closer to God through a community small enough to feel known yet large enough that everyone can find a place to grow and serve.

We think you will find FPC Douglasville a place where people of all kinds love the community they have found here. You will find a community of strangers that became friends. You will find a church with a long history of community service in Douglasville and Douglas County. You will see that kids are nurtured in a children’s ministry that has a high volunteer-to-child ratio. You will see a student ministry for youth and teens where friendships are formed, the Bible is studied, and they are mentored by a great volunteer team of men and women. You will see adults who value Bible study, building friendships, and forming a community that supports one another.

We are far from a perfect church, but we might be the right church for you. If you want a place where you know the pastors and they know you, where you can enjoy great worship, serious discipleship, and community engagement, we might be right for you.
